Can I cancel a booking?

As a driver, you can cancel a booking, at no charge, before the owner accepts your request on the system.

You can also refuse a vehicle at the time of pick-up if you believe that it does not meet the requirements set by SocialCar. Basically, it must be in good condition and be true to its description on the website. If you refuse it on these grounds, you will be fully reimbursed.

Charges

If you cancel a booking once it’s been paid for, different types of charge will apply:

Cancelling more than 48 hours before the start of the rental period incurs a charge of €5 to cover financial costs.

Cancelling less than 48 hours before the start of the rental period incurs a charge of:
a) Two days’ rental and insurance company if you have hired the vehicle for 2 or more days.
b) One day’s rental and insurance company if you have hired the vehicle for one day.

Don’t forget

Any issue relating to the vehicle pick-up should be notified within 24 hours to incidencia@socialcar.com

SocialCar does not check the vehicles: it is the community itself that does so. If a vehicle is not fit to be driven, please report it to us.
